Rain washed away Thursday’s scheduled series-opening game between the White Sox and Guardians.

The teams will play a split doubleheader Friday, with the first pitch of Game 1 scheduled for 2:10 p.m. and the first pitch of Game 2 scheduled for 7:10 p.m.

The Sox will unveil a statue of former pitcher Mark Buehrle on the Rate Field concourse prior to the start of Game 2.
