Bernard Butler, 44, was taken into custody Friday on suspicion of shooting and wounding a 36-year-old man Thursday night about 8:50 p.m. in the first block of North Hamlin Avenue. Butler faces attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and other charges.
Malcolm U. Harris, 40, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, Chicago police said.
