Teen shot, wounded in West Ridge armed robbery

A teen was shot during an armed robbery in West Ridge on Sunday afternoon, Chicago police said.

The boy, 17, was approached by a person on an electric scooter in the 2100 block of West Granville Avenue at 5:15 p.m. when the person took the boy’s property and shot at him, police said. The teen was struck in the upper body and left forearm. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition.

No one is in custody.
