Teen critically wounded in West Ridge armed robbery

A 17-year-old boy was robbed and shot by a person on an electric scooter in the 2100 block of West Granville Avenue Sunday evening, police said. He’s hospitalized in critical condition.

A teen was shot during a robbery in West Ridge Sunday afternoon, Chicago police said.

The boy, 17, was approached by a person on an electric scooter in the 2100 block of West Granville Avenue at 5:15 p.m. who took the boy’s property and shot at him, police said. The teen was struck in his upper body and left forearm. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition.

No one is in custody.
