Motorist sought in Woodlawn Fourth of July hit-and-run that injured 7-year-old

Police are looking for a motorist in a Fourth of July hit-and-run that left a 7-year-old child “severely injured,” Chicago police said.

The child was struck by a dark SUV, which investigators believe to be a four-door Lincoln Corsair, traveling westbound in the 800 block of East Marquette Road in Woodlawn at 8:51 p.m., police said. The driver fled the scene.
