A 53-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed when he collided with a car near south suburban Dolton early Tuesday, state police said.

The victim, an unidentified 53-year-old man, was declared dead shortly after the 3 a.m. crash in the outbound lanes near Sibley Boulevard, according to state police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

All southbound lanes were closed for several hours but reopened around 7:30 a.m., state police said.

No further information was given by state police.
