Man killed in fight at Loop CTA platform

Police say Robert Harper, 56, was fighting with another man on a platform at the CTA Clark/Lake station about 10:30 p.m. Friday when he suffered a fatal head injury. The other man has been arrested.

A 56-year-old man was killed in a fight with another man on a platform at the CTA Clark/Lake station Friday night, Chicago police said.

The two men were fighting on the platform about 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of West Lake Street when one of them, 56-year-old Robert Harper, sustained an injury to his head. Chicago firefighters found Harper unresponsive and took him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The man Harper was fighting was taken into custody. Charges are pending, police said.
