Man found dead after being shot in River North

Early Sunday morning in River North, police discovered a man who had been fatally shot.

A man was fatally shot in River North early Sunday, police said.

Officers found the man, 41, in the 800 block of North Cambridge Avenue around 12:20 a.m. when responding to a call of a person shot, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the body and pronounced dead at the hospital.

No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
