Male shot, killed in Woodlawn

The victim, a male whose age wasn’t known, was shot about 4 p.m. Friday in the 6200 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police said. He died at a hospital. No one is in custody.

A person was shot and killed Friday afternoon in Woodlawn.

The victim, a male whose age wasn’t known, was near a sidewalk about 4 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Rhodes Avenue when someone fired shots, striking him in the abdomen, Chicago police said.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died, police said.

No arrests were reported.
