1 of 2 men shot in Armour Square dies

Jeremy Miller, 35, was fatally shot and another man, 30, was wounded in a shooting about 2 a.m. Thursday in the 3700 block of South Wells Street, officials said. The second man is in good condition. No one is in custody.

A man has died after a shooting that also wounded another man early Thursday in Armour Square.

Jeremy Miller, 35, and a 30-year-old man were both shot about 2 a.m. in the 3700 block of South Wells Street, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Miller suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

The other man was shot in the left arm, police said. He was taken to the same hospital in good condition.

Circumstances of the shooting were not known, police said.

No arrests have been reported, and Area 1 detectives are investigating.
